Savings Plan
401(k) Plan with Match
The 401(k) plan is a retirement plan that allows employees to set aside a portion of income on a pre-tax basis for retirement. Employees are eligible on their first day of employment. Employees may allocate pre-tax income up to the IRS maximum limit. Volterra will match a portion of the employee's contribution. Our plan administrator offers a variety of investment options to match your needs.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
The Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) allows employees to set aside a portion of income for the purchase of company stock at a discount. Offerings occur twice a year.
Health Plans
Health care coverage is available on the first day of the month following
the date of hire for full time employees. Employees may also cover eligible dependents
(spouses, domestic partners and dependents).
Medical Insurance - 3 plan choices offered include: Blue Cross PPO or HMO; Kaiser HMO.
Dental Insurance - Aetna Dental PPO & DMO : 100% coverage for preventative care after deductible;
max benefit amount per year is $2,000.
Vision Insurance - Vision Service Plan (VSP): Eye exam every 12 months,
lenses and frames every 24 months.
Prescription Drug Program – Prescription drug coverage is automatically
provided to employees and eligible dependents who enroll in a Volterra medical plan.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Health Care FSA
Employees may use this account to be reimbursed for eligible out-of-pocket health
expenses not covered by their health care plan. Employees may allocate between $100
and $3000 pre-tax each year to this account via payroll deduction.
Dependent Care FSA
Employees may use this account to be reimbursed for eligible out-of-pocket expenses
associated with caring for dependents while the employee or the employee’s spouse work,
including child care, elder care or care for an adult dependent who is incapable of self
care. Employees may allocate between $100 and $5000 pre-tax each year to this account via
payroll deduction.

Time Off
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Volterra provides PTO to all employees where PTO is defined as paid time away
from work for vacation, illness, outside activities, or personal business. You
begin earning PTO on your first day at Volterra. It is based on years of service
and accrues bi-weekly. Part time employees will earn on a pro-rated basis.

Holidays
Volterra provides 10 paid holidays each year. 6 holidays are fixed and 4 holidays
are designated by Volterra prior to the beginning of each calendar year.
